My Self Confidence Advice To You

It seems almost everyone is willing to give self confidence advice these days, and just by searching the Internet you can find hundreds of articles all talking about increasing your self confidence.  The problem with all these advice articles is that they are really general and don’t really offer specific advice.  Here is my advice on how to build self confidence and what has worked for me and what I continue to do this day.

For me my level of self confidence fluctuates from day to day and week to week.  This is like most people I think.  If you are feeling healthy and things appear to be going your way you will feel more confident.

On the other hand if you had a lousy day and you are tired your levels of self confidence will be down.

Realize that this is just the way it is.  Even people who seem to have very high levels of self confidence have days where they are not feeling as confident in their abilities.

Don’t make the mistake of generalizing that just because you feel like you have a low level of self confidence today that you have a problem with self confidence.

Most people who think they have low self confidence generally can break it down into a specific area that they are having trouble with.

For example, I was not feeling very confident in my ability to complete a certain type of report at work.  This lack of self confidence in this area seemed to become generalized in other areas.

When I took action to increase my self confidence and ability in that area, other areas took care of themselves.

My most important self confidence advice that I can give you is to not over generalize your problem.

Try and identify why you feel this way and take steps to overcome it.  Don’t feel sorry for yourself either.  This is the worst thing you can do right now.

Take Action!!!
