Low Body Image and Low Self Esteem

Many people have poor body images, whether these are real or imagined. Most people’s bodies are not as bad as they think they are. In fact, having a low self esteem can make the situation even worse. Some of the most beautiful people in the world do not think much of their bodes, so how can we raise our body images?

For many people having to look at themselves naked in front of the mirror is one of the hardest things to do. Many people hate their bodies and would rather just keep them covered. In fact some people never look at their bodies in front of a mirror because they are so disturbed by what they might see.

Self-acceptance of ourselves is vital to getting more self esteem. Stand naked in front of the mirror and see if you can at least find some positive things to say about your body. There has to be at least one thing you can say.

Until you love and appreciate ourselves, how can we expect others to? Everyday you should try to do something good for your body. Exercises, lotion, eating healthy, these can all help make us feel better about bodies.

Low body image does not happen overnight; so don’t expect to overcome it quickly. Try to do little things everyday to raise your body image.
