Improve Self Confidence
How to improve self confidence? Well if you read my last post you know we talked about doing and focusing on things that you are great at. In this post I go over different things you can do to immediately improve your self confidence.Self confidence is like money in the bank, everyone want more then what they currently have. And just like money in the bank, by making regular deposits into your self confidence account, you can have a high level of self esteem.
The first way we’ll talk about to improve self confidence is to be grateful. Being grateful for everything you currently have is a great way to get out of stress and feeling better about yourself. Right now, now matter how bad your situation is, you can find lots of things to be grateful for.
Every day spend some time just being grateful. You will see how quickly this removes your negative mindset and replaces it with a much more positive one.
The second way to instantly improve your self confidence is by smiling. A study was done on a group of clinically depressed people. For their treatment the only thing they had to do was to force themselves to smile into a mirror for several minutes everyday. The results were amazing. Most of these people who were clinically depressed suddenly were cured.
Smiling activates certain emotional centers in our brains and releases certain hormones. Try to smile for a while and feel bad at the same time, I bet you can’t do it.
Another way to improve your self confidence is to improve your body posture. Try this exercise. In your mind picture someone who has low self confidence. What does that person look like? They probably have a sad expression, and hunched shoulders. Now in your mind, picture someone who has a high self confidence. That person likely has a smile on their face, and a straight posture.
The posture of your body has a lot to do with your emotional state. One quick way to feel more self confidence right now is to was faster, don’t just mope around, walk with a purpose.
