How to build self confidence? One of the fastest and easiest ways to build self confidence is to model those who seem to have a lot of self confidence. What are traits that those people who have self confidence possess?
Self confidence is when you have very little doubt if any in your thoughts, abilities and actions.
Research shows that those people who seem to have the highest self confidence focus on what their strengths are. Everyone has weaknesses, big weaknesses, but those people who have the highest levels of self confidence don’t seem to care about their weaknesses.
People who have a high level of self confidence focus on what they can do well. They are constantly thinking about their skills and strengths. Donal Trump for instance has what you could call high self confidence because he focuses on what his strengths are.
Trump doesn’t focus on how his friends might think he’s an idiot because he can’t fix a car, or design house interiors. He only focuses on what he is good at.
Write down 5 to 10 things that you are good at. Everyone has certain abilities that are above average. If you can’t think of any, you are not trying hard enough.
One way to increase your self confidence is to spend the weekend doing things that you are great at. If you are great at painting and playing the piano, then do those things.
The pressures of your office job will slip away quickly after Friday afternoon if you spend the weekend doing fun things that you can do well.
How to build self confidence mainly comes down to how you think. You either spend all your time and energy focused on things you can’t control, or you spend all your time and energy focused on things you can do great at.
Remember, the only person who can control your thoughts are you. Start today, be reclaiming your brain, and do something you are great at.
