Did Divorce Devastate Your Self Confidence?

For many people divorce is taboo and something that you think will never happen to you.  When it does happen to you many times we are in a state of shock and disbelief.  We put so many years into living with that other person that the thought of living without them is unthinkable.

So how to we hold onto some shred of self confidence and start to pick up the pieces of our lives?

First of all it is okay to mourn and go through a state of sadness, but at some point you have to decide to move on and get your life back on track.

One way to regain your self confidence is to realize that only you are responsible for your happiness in life, not your children, your ex-spouse, or your parents.

Once you start taking 100% responsibility for the quality of your life, you will feel better.

Do something for yourself that will make your feel better and give you some self confidence.  You can start with writing goals down that you want to accomplish in the next year.

Another thing to do is to exercise and get into better shape.  Remember, living well is the best revenge.
